YESTERDAY'S CHILDREN - "Sunshine" b/w "One Way Up" (Rex Recording Co. — no cat#, 1968)

by Achille Brunet

Yesterday's Children were a band from Portland, Oregon formed in 1967. The group recorded two songs, "Sunshine" and "One Way up" in December.

KJDY played both recordings throughout January 1968 and the single was pressed in February by Rex Recording Co., a recording studio and and custom label in Portland.

The group members were students from Grant Union high school. Members include Gary Grossman, guitar; Dick Merrill, lead singer; Allan Henon, bass guitar; Bob Merrill, organ; and Robert Allen, drums. Both songs were written by Dick Merrill.

The band apparently played until mid-1968 before disbanding.
